Knowledge and skills
Building Construction Labourers are expected to have:
• Knowledge of building and construction methods
• Knowledge of materials used in building and construction
• The ability to use and maintain various types of machinery, equipment and tools
• The ability to monitor operations, such as read gauges, dials and other indicators to check that machines are working properly
• The ability to work at heights
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Transferable skills should include:
• The ability to follow instructions
• Communication skills in Maltese and/or
English
• Numeracy skills
• Time management skills
• The ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines
• The ability to work independently and as part
of a team
