Knowledge and skills
Drivers of Bulldozers, Steamrollers and Mechanical Shovels are expected to have:
• Use of building and construction materials, machines and tools including their repair and maintenance
• The ability to drive heavy vehicles
• The ability to monitor operations, such as read gauges, dials and other indicators to
see that machines are working properly
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Transferable skills should include:
• Communication skills in Maltese and/or English
• The ability to follow instructions
• Numeracy skills
• Organisational and planning skills
• Problem solving and decision making skills
• Time management skills
• The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to work independently and as part
of a team
