Dental Assistants are expected to have:
• Knowledge of oral and general health and disease
• The ability to identify dental tools to assist the Dentist
• An understanding of ethical and legal principles in the health setting
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures

• Written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and/or English
• Numeracy skills

• Organisational and planning skills
• Problem solving and the ability to take timely
